Using technology to make everyday life easier at Karbon Homes

Karbon Homes is launching a new initiative, Safely Connected, aimed at helping customers feel more independent, confident and connected to their homes and communities.

As part of the upcoming pilot, 50 customers will be offered a free Go NokNok smart parcel device, giving Karbon the opportunity to explore how simple technology can support everyday living.

The device combines a secure parcel box with a built-in camera and speaker, making it easier for customers to manage deliveries and see who’s at their door.

Participants will be able to receive parcels when they’re out, speak to visitors through the intercom feature and keep track of activity at their doorstep.

Graeme Tuckwell, Innovation and Product Development Specialist at Karbon, said: “We hope the pilot will help customers feel more in control of their home environment. By testing solutions in our homes, we hope to learn where technology can genuinely add value, and how we - as a housing provider - can support customers with tools that make everyday tasks a little more convenient.”
