Collaborating through OneMap: transforming asset planning across partners

The asset planning workshop at the latest SHINE event brought together a large group of colleagues involved in asset strategy and investment from across the many housing associations and local authorities.

Workshop Focus

The session focused on how the shared GIS map, OneMap, can be used to:

• Inform long‑term planning

• Support joint working

• Align investment decisions

• Deliver value at scale

Ultimately, this approach aims to bring benefits to customers and communities.

Current Projects

There are already some projects underway, and the teams involved are keen to start using OneMap to identify projects they can deliver together.

Next Steps

• Enable access to OneMap for those involved in asset planning

• Support the onboarding of new map users
